I just read the Akutagawa Prize(Japanese Booker Prize?) winning novel "My Fave, flaming" now.
I have not been reading the Akutagawa Prize novels for many years. I had happened to read again this novel because my old friend recommended another prize nominated novel,"Conjuge(a partner in Portuguese)" cause I asked him this time's prize guessing novel when he always forecasts the Prize winner.
I finished to read the novel" Conjuge" just before the Prize announcing. I would like to read the winning novel "My Fave, flaming" cause these two books seemed to be same subject, Admiring idol.
After reading two novels, My favorite taste of novel is "My Fave, flaming". The written expression in this one is very interesting. I couldn't deny " Conjuge" has also easy to read written expression. Especially, The leading character who becomes a fan of British idol rock star like Freddy Mercury, Mark Bolan reminds me of the time finding my teenage idols such as Sting and Morrissey in spite of non my teenage idol in Japan like "My Fave, flaming" for me at her ages. But, " Conjuge" is hard storyline for such a person who thinks I can't endure a tragedy fiction when I get older. I admit pure literature tends to be tragedy.
By comparison this two novel, there are one girl who wastes her life for her idol and another who saves her miserable life for her one interestingly.
