Watching an American film,"Nomadland"

I had been a big fan of The Academy awards since I was 13 years old. I was used to guess the awards before I couldn't even watch some nominated films in Japan and hand over the paper I wrote my bet to my mother until the oscars day when I was a teenager. Anyway, I was looking forward to watching a this year's sure bet film,"Nomadland". I recently watched it. Because  I had been a long movie buff wastefully, some scenes of this film reminds me of some films such as "Days of Heaven", ”The Whale of August", and, a French film, " Vagabond ”  I have a common with a leading role's husband liked DIY for a car(So does my husband), therefore, I started to synchronize Frances Macdormand's character in this film. But, Not her, I felt relieved to watch her sister's home and realized I can't live like this film. I was fully enjoyed this calm, big and beautiful American nature scenery film which recapture my past that one kind old couple in Cali...

Remembering my trip with my late friend

It has been passed almost one year since my best friend passed away. I remembered her once a day in this one year.

I missed her.  We had some travels in Asia.  I have no chance to talk about our travel memoirs any more. It's sad.

Our first trip together was Shanghai in China.  We were heading to Suzhou by train in this trip.
We were lost in crowdy Shanghai central station in Chinese Golden weeks holiday.  We spoke to one woman who works for the station about the train we wanted to take to Suzhou.  She was no charge in Sozhu train, but she was very kind to take us to the destination to the train. It was changed the destination and we were locked in the old destination.  She tried to bang the door desperately to get out there cause we had no time to the train leaving. Someone noticed us and opened the gate. She took us to the train on time somehow.  My late friend and I thanked the stuff especially the woman before riding the train.  My friend was used to talk about Chinsese thanks' Shanghai dialect was Xia Xia in Japanese Charisma sub culture columnist Nancy Seki's travel essay book which she read before. She said "Xia Xia(Thank you in Chinese)" to them confidently. They corrected her dialect by "Xie Xie( Thank you in Chinese real dialect) with smiling faces. It was a pleasant memoirs of this trip.

We had many kind Omotenashi(treats) in overseas trip.  I wonder people who was kind to us under Covid-19.  I wish they are in good health.

I remembered this memoirs by this song which was departure melody in this train.
